What are some strategies to prevent burnout?
Preventing burnout is possible. Making lifestyle changes is vital to avoid becoming overwhelmed with whatever is going on in your life. One of the most important things to do is to be aware of how you react to stress. What happens when you get overwhelmed? Pay attention to how you are feeling physically and mentally.
Other burnout prevention ideas are:
Implement a self-care routine. Do something that makes you feel calm and relaxed for at least 30 minutes a day.
Introduce time management into your routine. Things like task blocking can help you work on projects more efficiently without getting bored or tired easily.
Start exercising. Physical exercise (at any level) is a well-documented method to help increase positive changes in your mental health.
Identify your support system and reach out to them if you start to become burnt out. A good support system will also hold you accountable if you are overwhelming yourself.
Get enough rest. Sleep is vital to keep our brains healthy.

How long does it take to recover?
