Sipera Simons, LPCA
Lexington & Telehealth
With a humanistic/person-centered approach, I strive to understand intersecting identities and how they relate to individuals, couples, and families and their view of the world. I have worked with various clients and specialize in an empathetic, compassionate, judgment-free environment that includes work in addictions, depression/anxiety, life transitions, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, co-dependency, and parenting concerns. I also work with individuals in marginalized/multicultural communities dealing with varying identity concerns. I am open and willing to use various evidence-based practices to meet the needs of the clients. I can meet in person, and online whichever is more convenient for you.
I currently hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University and an M.B.A., with a concentration in Leadership from Sullivan University. For the past 15 years, I have worked in higher education, assisting and preparing students for a successful future. In the last three years I spent working at The Ridge Behavioral Health as a student intern, co-facilitating an intensive outpatient therapy group specializing in substance use disorders with clients from all over the nation. My passion is working with clients to assist and prepare them for a successful future. In addition, I enjoy listening to music, reading, writing and spending time with her family.
