ROOTS IOP Program:
A DBT-Integrated Healing Experience from Kentucky Services
Reclaim your voice. Transform your life. Sustain your recovery.
Healing is more than recovery — it’s a return to your true self.
At Kentucky Services, we believe that lasting recovery begins deep beneath the surface. The ROOTS IOP Program is a 16-week intensive outpatient experience for adults struggling with substance use and mental health challenges — designed to not only address symptoms, but to nurture true, sustainable transformation.
Through our exclusive ROOTS Healing Framework, you’ll journey through five phases of change — reclaiming your voice, observing your patterns, owning your power, transforming your life, and sustaining your recovery.
This evidence-based, holistic approach weaves together Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), relapse prevention strategies, and integrative healing practices like mindfulness, yoga, outdoor therapy, art therapy, and nutrition support.
Our multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists, nurse practitioners, case managers, and peer support specialists provides comprehensive, individualized care every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About The ROOTS IOP Program
-
IOP is a structured treatment program for substance use that offers more support than traditional outpatient counseling but doesn’t require you to stay overnight like inpatient rehab. It typically involves group therapy, individual counseling, and skill-building sessions 3x times per week to help you work toward recovery while managing your daily life.
-
The length varies depending on your needs, but most programs run for 16 weeks. Some clients may transition to less intensive care afterward, like weekly outpatient sessions with an individual therapist, based on their progress.
-
IOP will meet 3 times per week, with each session lasting 3 hours with two 10 minute breaks. Additionally, there is a psychoeducation group on Wednesday from 10am to 12pm.

Life happens—we get it! If you can’t attend, let us know as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to reschedule or catch up, but regular attendance is important for your progress. Missed group sessions must be made up in order to graduate.
-

-
Costs vary depending on insurance, sliding scale options, or self-pay rates. We’ll review your coverage and payment options during intake to make sure you’re clear on everything.
