Focused Dyslexia Evaluation
Age 5 and Up
If you or your child struggles with reading, spelling, or understanding written language, a comprehensive evaluation can help clarify whether dyslexia is present and guide effective support. What’s Included in Your Evaluation:
-
A brief, standardized measure of general intellectual functioning that estimates verbal and nonverbal reasoning skills. This helps confirm that reading challenges are unexpected relative to overall cognitive abilities.
A digital set of cognitive tasks measuring attention, working memory, processing speed, and executive functioning. These insights help understand how thinking processes may impact reading.
-
A structured interview assessing daily living skills, communication, and social functioning. This measure ensures that difficulties are not due to broader developmental disabilities.
-
A comprehensive assessment of reading skills, including:
Word decoding and phonological awareness
Spelling and reading fluency
Comprehension of written language
This tool is specifically designed to align with the latest research and diagnostic criteria for dyslexia.
-
A licensed Master's leveled clinician will conduct a thorough interview to gather background history, observe test-taking behaviors, and ensure that all relevant factors are considered.
