MEET ALMA (she/her/hers)
I’m a trauma‑informed clinician who works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity development, and patterns that feel hard to break. My approach is warm, steady, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can breathe, slow down, and feel genuinely supported. I blend several evidence‑based modalities, including DBT, CBT, ACT, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My focus is on helping you build emotional clarity, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been pushed aside by stress or survival mode. EMDR is a core part of my work. I use it when past experiences still feel “stuck” in the body or continue to shape your reactions in ways you don’t want. EMDR helps your brain reprocess those memories, so they feel less charged and less intrusive. Many clients describe EMDR as finally being able to move past something they’ve understood logically for years but never felt fully resolved. IFS complements this by helping us explore the different “parts” of you — the protective parts, the overwhelmed parts, and the parts carrying old pain — with curiosity instead of judgment. When those parts feel heard and supported, healing becomes safer, deeper, and more sustainable. I bring structure, tools, and a calm presence. You bring your lived experience and your goals. Together, we work at a pace that feels right for you. Clients describe me as intuitive, grounded, and easy to talk to, and my goal is always to help you feel seen as a whole person — not a diagnosis.
