TRISTAN BARNEY, Psy.D.

MEET TRISTAN (he/him/his)

Everyone’s life journey is unique. That is why I believe in prioritizing the client’s lived experiences and helping them navigate the challenges they have encountered. I am passionate about supporting and advocating for my clients while authentically demonstrating a high level of empathy and acceptance of the client and their issues. It is my belief that everyone is capable of change and has an innate drive to be the best version of themselves, but sometimes life gets in the way. My approach to therapy is integrative, yet grounded in evidenced-based strategies such as ACT, CBT, CPT, DBT, Interpersonal, as well as Humanistic/Person-Centered interventions. Due to my extensive clinical experiences in a variety of settings with a diverse range of clientele, I know that therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process in developing goals, while fostering a safe and non-judgmental space, and empowering clients with confidence.
