MEET KIM (she/her/hers)
Pregnancy and motherhood are often described as some of life's happiest moments, but for many women, they can also bring unexpected challenges, worry, grief, and emotional overwhelm. My passion is helping women navigate those experiences with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based mental health care.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in perinatal mental health, I work with women who are trying to conceive, experiencing infertility, coping with pregnancy loss, navigating pregnancy after loss, and adjusting to life during pregnancy and postpartum.
While perinatal mental health is a special area of focus, I also provide psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health concerns. Every individual's story is different, and I believe treatment should be personalized to meet your unique needs and goals.
This work is deeply personal to me. Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I worked in labor and delivery as a nursery nurse, caring for newborns and supporting families during the earliest days of parenthood. I have also experienced infertility and pregnancy loss myself, giving me a firsthand understanding of the heartache, fear, uncertainty, and resilience that can be part of the journey to motherhood.
I know how isolating these experiences can feel, especially when everyone around you expects this season of life to be joyful. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you deserve support.
My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more like yourself while building the confidence and emotional wellness needed to thrive during this important chapter of life—and throughout life's other challenges as well.
