Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
MEET MARZ (she/her/hers)
My approach to counseling is really about meeting you where you are and walking alongside you—no judgment, no pressure. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and reach their goals, but sometimes we just need a little help getting there. That’s where I come in. I see therapy as a partnership; we’re in this together, and your voice matters every step of the way. My hope is that you’ll feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for—because you are. This work means a lot to me, and I want you to know that you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
What makes therapy with me unique is the relationship we build together. I’m not a blank slate in the room—I show up as a real person, with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand who you are, not just what you’re going through. I care about you as a whole human being, and I take the time to really listen, to learn your story, and to make sure you feel safe, respected, and valued. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes or telling you what to do—it’s about working together in a way that feels collaborative, supportive, and honest. There’s room here for all of it—the laughter, the hard stuff, the messy parts. You don’t have to pretend or have everything figured out. We go at your pace, and I’m right there with you.
I’m a former Division 1 athlete, which shaped a lot of how I move through the world. It taught me about commitment and resilience—but also about burnout, identity struggles, and the pressure to perform. That experience still influences how I relate to others, and it’s a big part of why I show up in this work with so much care and empathy. I know what it’s like to carry a lot on your own, and I want my clients to feel like they don’t have to do that anymore. I’m here for the real, messy, honest parts—and I welcome all of it.

SPECIAL CLINICAL FOCUS
I’m a good fit for clients ages 11 and up who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or under pressure—whether that’s from anxiety, depression, burnout, or just trying to keep up with everything. I work especially well with athletes and people in high-pressure environments, as well as those going through big life changes, dealing with injury, or facing the grief that can come with stepping away from sport or a familiar role. If you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to have all the answers, where your voice matters, and where we work together—not with advice or judgment, but with honesty and support—then we’ll likely be a great fit.
