MEET TARA(SHE/HER/HERS)

I approach therapy as a collaborative and genuine process where clients feel comfortable being fully themselves. My style is warm, conversational, and engaged, and I enjoy working with clients who are open to actively participating in the therapeutic process by talking through their experiences, emotions, and goals. I enjoy working with people who are ready for change, as well as those who are still exploring what change might look like for them, because I believe growth starts with honest reflection and curiosity. I like to be present with my clients by asking thoughtful questions, offering feedback, and creating a space that feels supportive, comfortable, and authentic. My goal is for clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered while building insight and making meaningful progress at their own pace.

One thing that makes therapy with me unique is that I want clients to feel comfortable enough to show up exactly as they are. Therapy can already feel vulnerable, so I try to create an environment that feels relaxed, genuine, and judgment-free. If you need to bring coffee or an energy drink to get through the day, bring it. Want your favorite blanket from home during session? Absolutely. Need to show me pictures of your pets before we dive into the hard stuff? I’d love to see them. Want to kick your shoes off and get comfortable? Honestly, I probably will too! I believe some of the best therapeutic work happens when people feel safe enough to let their guard down and be fully themselves.

SPECIAL CLINICAL FOCUS

I tend to work best with young adults who are open to talking through what’s brought them to therapy and are willing to really engage in the process! My style is warm, supportive, and conversational, but I’m also not afraid to ask the occasional tough question when I think it could help bring insight or encourage growth. I love working with clients who value honesty, self-reflection, and genuine connection, even if they don’t have everything figured out yet. You definitely do not need to come into therapy with all the answers, just a willingness to show up, be yourself, and explore things together!
